Apoplectic
Apoplectic (adj) - Overcome with anger; extremely indignant.
When Mrs Dubose's response was "apoplectic" to when the children refered to their father as Atticus, it meant she was outraged at the apparent lack of respect the children were showing their father (when in fact it was Atticus' way of giving them respect as young adults). As she was still experiencing withdrawal symptoms at this time, her responses would have been more than angry, they could only be qualified as apoplectic.
